The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had the honour
in conne.tion with the anzuroed removal by the Government of
ilong Kong of residents of owloon city, to address a lote to
His Majesty'n tobaum on the 26th October last requesting
that the ong Kong authoriti s be urged to cancel or suspend
the original decision for the residents' removal, an is on
record.
The Ministry have now tha non ur to infora His Majesty's
Embas.y that they have received the following further telegran
from the Ministry'a special Delegate stationed in Xwangtung
and Kwangsi:-
"According to an oral report made by the
representatives of the residents of Kowloon City,
the Governsent of Hong Kong la agsin forcing the
residents to accept e oval inde mitics, and bas
designated the close of this year as the time-limit
within which removal is to be completed, and the
residents roquest that the atter be takon up (with
the British authorities) without elay and brought
to a stop.

The Ministry of Foreign Af airs have repeatedly
raised objections to thia rojast, but from the fact that
the Government of Hong Kong la still persisting in ita
