I could. The first blank "for example, hydro carbon". The second blank "the real active body in a phenol is oresėlio soid". The sentenos "it is a matter of great importance do" should read "it is a matter of great importance to know in connection with these coal tar disinfectants, whether the actual body consists of cresol or phenol". Then the sentence "now the analyst assumes that a carbolic acid is phenol” is not quite correct. Carbolic acid is phenol, but what the analyst does often assume is that the phenol present is carbolic acid. He does not ask whether it is oresol, or plain phenol. He assures it is carbolic acid to begin

with. I suggest now "the analyst assumes that a phonol

The word is carbolic acid". Transpose the words. phenol is used in a general way to express carbolia acid, or creslic acid. The word phenol strictly speaking would only refer to the first of the series,

that is to say carbolic acid.

Question 13482, the word "chemicals" should read

"chemistry".

Question 13486, There is a blank. I suggest "is that the same thing as carbolic acid". My answer is "No, if

you mix a sodium carbogate with carbolic acid, you wil have a sodium carbolate or sodium cresol formed". Page 1589, top of the page, the answer is "it is a Veeting called by them". That seems to me to be wrong. They did not actually call the Meeting. They are called

to the Meeting by Departmental arrangement,

Can they call a Meeting at anytime, if they oboosa certain number of them ↑

Oh no, there is no regulation of that kind. It is Meeting onlled "of" them, instead of "by" then. The next question "by whom" should be "af whom" ↑
