That is what did happen in that case. It might be
advisable to make a rule for the guidance of Senior
Inspectors, that they themselves must hand the license to the licensee, or that the license should be handed
over by myself or the principal clerk.
Arent all licenses issued on the recommendation of a 1472/
Senior Inspector ?
No. First of all they go in to the M. 0. H. and he
recommends them, and then they go in to the Colonial
Veterinary Surgeon, and ke recommends them, especially
in connection with dairies. Then they go before the
Board, and if the Board grants the license, it goes
through this check that I have mentioned.
Isnt it in every case that the Senior Inspector is 14,722
asked to report on the building ?
Yes, the senior Inspector is asked to report.
So that if he is asked to report, licenses might be 14723
refused or there might be a delay.
That is really with the M. 0. H. or the Colonial
Feterinary Surgeon.
But that is done, isnt it?
14724
The Senior Inspector, in the great majority of cases,
han to report.
And the license is issued on his recommendation or
report ?
That is the work of the M. 0. R. How many times he
base: it on the report of the Inspector, and how many
times he goes out, I dont know.
