Now, I put it to you, Dr Bell, whether you dont think /3065~ as a medical man that it would be advisable for this Colony, if there was a similar sort of Board, who would be advised on matters of hyɛions by the Medical Officer, and on building by the Civil Engineer ? Before you answer that question, Dr Bell, it is a leading question, and as you are a Government Official, I should say you are not bound to answer it.

To go back to the question of burials of Chinese, dont you think it is possible that the reason why those dead are inspected by the Inspectors is because the Government Doctors have complained from time to time, that they are unable to do the work ?
