not last. They are not fire resisting, that is a bette word.

Now, have you approved of any partitions in buildings,
of wood
I believe I have.
18928
Then, what reason had you for disapproving of those partitions, which were of iron
Those partitions are practically divisions of one house from another, to all intents and purposes. They are in the place of party walls. The owners got over it.
by putting doors in them, but it appears to me that those doors will be kept closed, and that these are in substance party walls, divisions of one house from. another. If it is permitted in this case, then I cant refuse it in other cases. It becomes general throughout
the Colony, and such things are in my opinion, a very grave source of danger.

A.
'A' very grave source of danger.
30 Q.
A.
What is your definition of a house?
now, there were practically two houses.
You said just 30.
House ! A house is a building that is separately
entered from another building. I think that is about as
near as I can give it.
And there are doors in those partitions ?

A.
There are.
