Now, then Professor Simpson had made his report before

I think we may take it on that assumption that he did,

and if he had recommended it, why did Dr Clark write

any minute to a Sanitary Inspector? Dont you think

it irregular, if it was recommended by such an expert

as Professor Simpson ?

"As a general rule, the Sanitary Board need not trouble

to send for analysis, disinfectants that do not mix

well with water, as such cannot be recommended”.

That is Mr Browne's minute, and I said to the Secretary,

practical *evidently this preparation is no use unless properly

mized," and then I sent that to the M. 0. H. to note,

and the M. O. X. sends it to Inspector Reidie, who is

in charge of the disinfectants, with this minute, *I

believe that this substance has been found more suitable

for wahing purposes than Jeyes Fluid. Is this not so ?"

and Reidie says in replƒ "Yes, it is very suitable for

sleansing purposes. It is in general use in Hospitals
