A:-

I dont know whether he has any means of knowing.

Did you hear any words during that quarrel which lead 3941

you to suspect that there was something wrong, because

it is not quite clear to me how there could have been ?

I did not go into the problemn as to how any money was

to pass, or how the advantage was to be got. It appeared

to me a very slack way of doing business.

Cantina and replind

Witness:

I quite understand that when I say a thing is

a rumour, or 11 has been heard, I am not pretending to

make definite accusations against a man, but I am as

anxious as anybody else that when a man has been

dishonest, he should be got rid of.

6.30 p.m. Commission adjourned until July 3rd

1906, at 10.30 a.m.
