"Philippine Airlines Inc., closely allied with T.W.A.,
today was revealed as a potential added starter and will
seek a route from Manila, P.I. to San Francisco.
"With such a route in operation and linked up with
T.W.A.'s cross-continent service and trans-Atlantic route
to India, the American-Philippine combination could win
the global air race, experts point out.

soon after the present American possession achieves inde
pendence on July 4, this year.
"Should Britain or its Dominions, deny the Philippine
Government landing privileges in India, the Philippines
can close the door to British and Australian-New Zealand
aviation which vitally needs air entry to Manila."
