Civil Aviation Authorities now say they are interested in Ping Shan. Possible runway to North of our selected site should be cleared by your para. 6. requirements, but understand another runway right through our site is a possibility.

Ministry of Civil Aviation are the only people who can give a decision on these points. Request you will consult them in conjunction with Colonial Office and let us have a very early decision..

Abandonment now of Ping Shan site by us will also effect slection of transmitting site. We do not wish, therefore, to proceed with unnecessary surveys.
