Imports totalled $19.6 millions as compared with $22.1 millions, and exports $15.7 millions as com- pared with $17.0 millions; unenumerated items accounted for $13.4 millions of the total imports, as compared with $15.3 millions.

Imports of Ginseng decreased from $3.5 millions to $3.4 millions.

DYEING AND TANNING MATERIALS.

Imports totalled $16.1 millions as compared with $8.2 millions, and exports $11.4 millions as com- pared with $5.3 millions.

Imports of Aniline Dyes (not including Indigo) greatly increased from $3.5 millions to $9.3 millions. There were increased imports from Germany, France and North China, and decreased imports from the United Kingdom and U.S.A.

Imports of Artificial Indigo increased from 21,000 pients ($2.2 millions) to 33,000 piculs (83.0 tuillions).

FOODSTUFFS AND PROVISIONS.

Imports totalled $152.4 millions as compared $155.3 millions, and exports $120.7 millions as com- pared with $118.6 millions.

Imports of Beans (all kinds) increased from 541,000 pieuls ($4.6 millions) to 763,000 piculs (86.2 millions).

Imports of Marine Delicacies (such as Agar Agar, Awabi, Beche de Mer, Conpoy, Cuttle Fish, Prawns and Shark Fins) decreased from 67,000 piculs ($4.3 millions) to 56,400 pieuls (82.9 millions).

Imports of Fresh Fish decreased from 189,000 pieuls ($16 millions) to 68,000 piculs ($1.1 millions).

Imports of unenumerated Fish and Fishery Products decreased from $4.7 millious to $3.3 millions, the chief source of supply being French Indo-China.

Imports of Wheat Flour increased from 1.1 million piculs ($12.5 millions) to 1.4 million piculs ($12.7 millions). Imports from U.S.A. increased from 225,000 pieuls to 349,000 piculs, and Australia from 683.000 piculs to 847,000 pieuls.

Imports of lire (all kinda) increased from 8.2 million piculs ($53.9 millions) to 8.5 million piculs ($54.2 millions).

Imports of Game and Poultry (live) increased from 2.5 million head ($2.1 millions) to 2.7 million head ($2.2 millions).

Imports of Sugar (all grades) decreased from 2.7 million picuts ($20.1 millions) to 1.9 million piculs ($18.2 millions). Exports of Refined Supar amounted to 1.1 million piculs ($10.7 millions) as compared with 938,000 pieuls ($9.0 millions).

Imports of Tea increased from $39 millions to $15,9 millions. Exports of Tru totalled $16.1 millions as compared with $3.6 millions.

Imports totalled $17.3 millions as compared with $16.0 millions, and exports $1.1 millions as compared with $540,000,
