Imports totalled $354,000 as compared with $352,000, and exports $1.5 millions as compared with $189,000.
TOBACCO.
Imports totalled $6.4 millions as compared with $6.5 millions, and exports $4.3 millions as com- pared with $5.2 millions.
Imports of Cigarettes decreased from 1.5 million lbs. ($3.0 millions) to 1.3 million lbs. ($2.6 millions), whilst exports were approximately the same at 2.5 million lbs. ($2.7 millions).
Imports of Foreign Prepared Tobacco increased from 16,000 lbs. ($73,000) to 19,000 lbs. ($74,000), and Raw Tobacco from 6.1 million lbs. ($2.4 millions) to 8.0 million lbs. ($2.9 millions).
VEHICLES.
Imports totalled $3.4 millions as compared with $4.2 millions, and exports $2.0 millions as.com- pared with $2.1 millions.
Imports of Motor Cars increased from 528 ($1.2 millions) to 726 ($1.5 millions), the United Kingdom as compared with 302, 123 from U.S.A. as compared with 49, as compared with 89. Only one car was imported from Italy as compared with 24. cars as compared with 109.

Imports of Motor Lorry Chassis totalled 190 ($447,000) as compared with 282 ($661,000), of which 151 were of U.S.A. origin as compared with 96, and 21 British as compared with 73.
WEARING APPAREL.
Imports totalled $4.0 millions as compared with $4.1 millions, and exports $8.5 millions as compared with $8.5 millions.
Imports of Leather Boots and Shoes totalled $233,000 as compared with $222,000, Other Countries (chiefly Czecho-Slovakia) accounting for $109,000 as compared with $20,000.
Imports of Rubber Boots and Shoes amounted to $656,000 as compared with $445,000, and exports to $3.3 millions as compared with $1.8 millions. Exports to the United Kingdom increased from $454,000 to $1.8 millions, British Malaya from $115,000 to $155,000, British West Indies from $117,000 to $643,000, and Other British Empire territories from $22,000 to $42,000.
Imports of Hats and Caps fell from $740,000 to $521,000), and exports from $702,000 to $521,000, Italy accounting for $185,000 as compared with $420,000 and Japan $288,000 as compared with $116,000.
Imports of Singlets amounted to $727,000 as compared with $684,000, and exports to $8.0 millions as compared with $3.6 millions.
SUNDRIES.
Imports totulled $58.2 millions as compared with $64.0 millions, and exports $49.3 millions as com- pared with $57.2 millions.
There was a big decrease in the Gunny Bag trade, imports falling from 37.0 million bags ($12.8 mil- lions) to 20.8 million bags ($6.4 millions), and exports from 87.6 million bags ($18.2 millions) to 24.5 million bags ($7.5 millions).
