REMARKS.—Persons having possession of lands or houses previous to the Treaty were allowed to retain them on payment of certain assessed rentals now collected by the Treasurer. In cates where such lands or houses are not leased, the ovenpiers are treated as tennuts at will. 1,094 acres 3 roods and 8.7/10 polos were leased and 118 acres 2 roads and 13.7/10 poles were re-entered, surrendered or resumed leaving 946 ueres and 35 poles to be added to the total number of acres leasod accoiling to previous returns.
