Naval and Military patients will be ebargest in accordance with the scale for "private patients".
Proprietary medicines or drugs not contained in the British Plauraancopoeia will be charged for if supplied by the Government,
Private patients, other than Government or Naval or Military patients charged 1st or 2nd class daily rates for maintenance, will be subject to the following additional charges :-
(1) For medical attendane, a charge at the rate of one third of the rate for
maintenance.
(2) For surgical operations, such charge not exceeding $300, as the Director of Medical and Sanitary Services shall think it having regard to the nature of the operation. This charge will be in addition to the above charge for medical attendance.
(3) For maternity cases, charges, of $100 and $75 respectively, in lieu of
the above charge for medical attendance.

Patients requiring a Special" nurse, will pay an additional charge of $11. a day. | The Director of Medical and Sanitary Services has discretionary power to waive the additional charges.
Private patients may make their own arrangements for medical attendance, iu which case they will be exempt from the above montioned a blitional charges.
If in the ease of a private paticut charged 1st or 2ud eluss daily rates the Con- sulting Physician, Surgeon or Obstetrician is called in, either at the request of the patient or by arrangement between the patient and the Medical Officer tlie amount of the cousultant's fee shall be a matter for arrangement between the patient and the consultant.
Where an operation is performed by the Consulting Surgeon or Obstetrician or a private medical practitioner no churge will be made by the Government in respect of ile operation.

Children ouder twelve years of age are charged at half the foregoing rates in each class.
Patients requiring a “Special" nurse will pay an additional charge of $7 a day. Additional charges will be made for medicines, dressings and the use of the operating theatre in accordance with the scale laid down in Government Notification -No. 100 of 26th February, 1926.
Patients make their own arrangements for medical attendance.
