REMARKS.

(8) Mr. A. E. Wood acted as and drew duty pay of District Officer from 8th September to 31st December and drew half initial sterling salary of District Officer together with half initial salary plus increment of 2nd Assistant to Fecretary for Chinese Affairs from 8th September to 17th

October and his substantive anlary of 3nd Asistant to Secretary for Chinese Affairs from 28th October to 31st December.

(4) Mr. J. M. Tallock acted as and drew balf pay of Land Railiff and haif pay of Police Officer from 27th April to Bist December.
