These damages were repaired as effectively as possible and the weak points were strengthened by the construction of groynes of rough stone; a large rock at West Point was removed and the ordinary general repairs on the whole distance as well as on the road round Hongnichung Valley were effected at an outlay of £138 9s.7d.
