Judge of the Vice Admiralty Court at Hongkong. Acting Attorney General during the absence of Mr. Steeling, and H. M. Advocate in Admiralty. Solicitor and Notary Public and holds the Office of Coroner under the Government, H. M. Proctor in Admiralty.
Left for England on the 5-Sept. 1846, and has since been absent from the Colony 15 days.
Registrar of the Court of Admiralty. Receives a commission of 2 4/8% on intestate and other Estates, of which he is the Administrator.

This appointment was created in consequence of Mr. Campbell, the Acting Attorney General, performing the duties of Acting Chief Justice.
Mr. Campbell, the Acting Judge, draws one half of the Chief Justice's Salary, together with one half of that assigned to him as Acting Attorney General, making together a sum of £1875 per annum.
