An Ordinance to provide for matters relating to Crown land.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
PART I
PRELIMINARY
This Ordinance may be cited as the Crown Land Ordinance 1972 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
Short title and commencement.
1. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- Interpretation,
"authorized persoo" means any public officer, or other person,
acting on the direction of the Authority given under section 6(2) or section 12(2) and any public officer or other person assisting any such public officer or other person; "excavation permit" means an excavation permit issued under
