Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended- (a) in subsection (2) by deleting "It" and substituting the
following-
"Save as provided in subsection (3), it”; and
(b) by inserting after subsection (2) the following new sub-
99.3
section-
"(3) The power conferred on the Governor by paragraph (a) of subsection (2) shall be exercised by the Governor in Council in relation to an officer, other than a judge, holding a pensionable office referred to in subsection (2) of section 6 of the Public Services Commission Ordinance and for the purposes of this subsection the advice of the Public Services Commission shall not be required.".

PRELIMINARY
This Ordinance may be cited as the Matrimonial Pro- ceedings and Property Ordinance 1972 and shall come into opera- tion on the 1st July 1972.
