Amendment of section 8.

(3) The power conferred on the Governor by sub- section (2) shall be exercised by the Governor in Council in relation to an officer holding a pensionable office referred to in subsection (2) of section 6 of the Public Services Commission Ordinance and for the purposes of this subsection the advice of the Public Services Cam- mission shall not be required.",

Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended-- (a) in subsection (2) by deleting "It" and substituting the

following-

""Save as provided in subsection (3), it"; and

(b) by inserting after subsection (2) the following new sub-

section-

"(3) The power conferred on the Governor by paragraph (a) of subsection (2) shall be exercised by the Governor in Council in relation to an officer. other than a judge, holding a pensionable office referred to in subsection (2) of section 6 of the Public Services Commission Ordinance and for the purposes of this subsection the advice of the Public Services Commission shall not be required.”.
