25. Regulation 34 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

28. Regulation 43 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting "the senior veterinary officer, a health officer or food officer," and substituting the following--

"a health inspector”.

29. Regulations 45, 46 and 47 of the principal regulations are revoked and replaced by the following new regulations—

45. An authorized officer who inspects any carcass or offal under paragraph (1) of regulation 14 shall, if he is satisfied that it is 61 for human con- sumption, apply to it the appropriate mark specified in the Third Schedule.

46. (1) No person shall remove from any licensed premises-

(a) any carcass; or

(b) any offal specified in the Third Schedule, unless it is marked in accordance with regulation 45 or an authorized officer has given permission for its removal.

(2) No person sball, without the permission of the Director, have in his possession for the purposes of sale, offer for sale, or sell-

(a) any carcass; or

(b) any offal specified in the Third Schedule.

(3) Except as provided in paragraph (1) or in any other enactment, no person shell mark ony carcuss or offal with a mark specified in the Third Schedule or with a mark so closely resembling a mark specified in the Third Schedule as to be likely to mislead.

47. (1) An authorized officer or a police officer may seize and detain any carcass or offal if he suspects on reasonable grounds that an offence under paragraph (1), (2) or (3) of regulation 46 has been committed in respect of it.

(2) The Director or an authorized officer may cause any carcass or offal in respect of which any offence under paragraph (1), (2) or (3) of regulation 46 has been committed to be destroyed.

47A. (1) Every licensee shall keep and maintain on his licensed premises a register, in the form of Form 5 in the First Schedule, in which he shall record each day the number of each class of animal which has been inspected under paragraph (1) of regulation 13 during that day.

(2) Every page of the register shall be consecu- tively numbered.

(3) Every daily entry in the register shall be signed by the licensee and counter-signed by an authorized officer.

(4) The licensee shall forthwith notify an authorized officer of any alterations which he makes to the register.

(5) Notwithstanding paragraph (1), no licensee shall be required at any time to keep and maintain under paragraph (1) any information in respect of an animal for more than two years after the animal has been inspected under paragraph (1) of regulation 13.

47B. (1) Every licensee shall pay to the Govern- ment the fallowing inspection fees in respect of each animal which is inspected under paragraph (1) of regulation 13 in his licensed premises-

(a) for any bovine animal-

(b) for any other animal-
