STATUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG (AMENDMENT) STATUTES 1971.
In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (2) of soc- tion 13 of the University of Hong Kong Ordinance, the Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong has made the following statutes-
L. These statutes may be cited as the Statutes of the Univer- sity of Hong Kong (Amendment) Statutes 1971.
2. Statute of the principal Statutes is amended-
(a) by inserting before the definition of "Ordinance" the
following new definitions—

"Disciplinary Committee" means the Disciplinary
Committee appointed under Statute XXX;
"hall" means a residential or a non-residential hall and includes the Robert Black College and the Medical Student Centre:
"lecturer" includes senior lecturer and assistant lec-
turer:"; and
(b) by inserting after the definition of "Ordinance" the follow-
ing new definitions
"“studeat" means an undergraduate, or a graduate of the University or a person who is registered for a degree or diploma or certificate of the Univer- sity, or is in a category of person defined by the Senate as a student for the purpose of proceed- ings before the Disciplinary Committee: “undergraduate” means a person who is registered to read for a degree of bachelor of the Univer- sity:".
3. Statute IV of the principal Statutes is amended in para- graph 1 by inserting after sub-paragraph (c) the following new sub- paragraph-
"(ca) the Dean of Students;”.
Statule VI of the principal Statutes is amended-
(a) in paragraph 3, by inserting after "Faculty" the follow-
ing-
"but shall not be a member of the Disciplinary Committee"; and
