MERCHANT SHIPPING ORDINANCE. (Chapter 281).

MERCHANT SHIPPING (MISCELLANEOUS CANCELLATIONS) ORDER 1969.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 70 and 105 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following order--

1. This order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping Clation, (Miscellaneous Cancellations) Order 1969.

2. The Orders specified in the Schedule are cancelled.

Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the order, bur is intended to indicate its general purport).

The control of tankers is now covered by the Dangerous Goods (Shipping) Regulations (Cap. 295, sub, leg.), and regulation 8 thereof refere to Victoria Harbour,

2. The use of Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter is now governed by regulation of the Merchant Shipping Typhoon Shelters) Regulations 1969 (L.N. 1/69).

3. The control of vessels is now vested in the Director of Marine by regulations $(1) and 5(3)) of the Merchant Shipping (Control of Ports) Regulations (Cap, 281, sub. leg.).

4. All the Orders mentioned in the Schedule to the order have. therefore, become unnecessary and are cancelled.
