MARINE STORES PROTECTION ORDINANCE.

(Chapter 143).

MARINE STORES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1970.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Marine Stores Protection Ordinance. the Governor in Council has made the following regulations—

1. These regulations may be cited as the Marine Stores (Amendment) Regulations 1970, and shall come into operation on the ist day of April 1970.

2. Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is revoked.

3. Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting after "article" where it first occurs the following-

"with details of his identity document".

4. The principal regulations arc amended by revoking regu- lation 8 and the heading thereto and substituting the following-

“GENERAL.

#. No dealer in marine stores and no marine stores collector shall purchase marine stores from a person who is apparently under the age of seventeen years.

BA. No dealer in marine stores and no marine stores collector shall purchase marine stores from any person unless he first inspects the identity document of the vendor.

BB. Any person who contravenes regulation 2, 3. 5. 6, 7, 8 or BA. shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars or to imprisonment for three months.

BC. In these regulations→→

"identity document" means...

(a) an identity card issued in accordance with the provisions of the Registration of Persons Ordinance;

(5) a passport issued by a competent authority

within or outside the Colony;
