ROAD TRAFFIC (REGISTRATION AND LICENSING OF VEHICLES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1967.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Road Traffic Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the follow- ing regulations——

1. These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing of Vehicles) (Amendment) Regula- tions 1967.

2. Regulation 8 of the principal regulations is amended, in paragraph (2), by deleting "in writing",

3. Regulations 19, 20 and 21 of the principal regulations are revoked and replaced by the following regulations

“Licensing

of motor vehicles.

19. (1) Except as provided by these regulations or any other Ordinance, no motor vehicle shall be used on any road unless such vehicle is licensed under this regulation.

(2) Any person who wishes to have licensed a motor vehicle of which he is the registered owner shall-

(a) deliver to the Commissioner-

(D) an application in such form as may be determined by the Commissioner, signed by such person and containing such particulars as may be required thereby; and

(i) the registration book in respect of the motor vehicle; and

(b) subject to paragraph (9), pay to the Com- missioner in respect of the application for a licence for the motor vehicle for-

(1) twelve months, the appropriate fee specified in the third column of the Third Schedule; or

(i) four months, an amount equal to thirty-five per centum of the appropriate fee specified in the third column of the Third Schedule and an additional fee of fifteen dollars.
