FOREIGN JUDGMENTS (RECIPROCAL ENFORCEMENT)
(COMMONWEALTH) ORDER 1965.
1.
WHERBAS-
Preamble.
(a) in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) Ordinance 1960, the Governor in Council has, by the Foreign Judgments (Recipro- (L.N. 9/65). cal Enforcement) (Application to the Commonwealth) Order 1965, directed that the provisions of the said Ordinance shall apply to every part of the Commonwealth and to judgments obtained in the superior courts of any such part; and
(b) the Governor in Council is satisfied that, in the event of the benefits conferred by the said Ordinance being extended to judgments given in the superior courts of each of the parts
of the Commonwealth as are specified in the Schedule bereto. Schedule. substantial reciprocity of treatment will be assured as respects the enforcement in each such part of judgments given in the superior courts of the Colony;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by subsec- tion (1) of section 3 of the Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) Ordinance 1950, the Governor in Council has made the following Order-

1. This Order may be cited as the Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal Guation Enforcement) (Commonwealth) Order 1965, and shall come into opera- tion on the commencement of the Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal (13 of 1964). Enforcement) (Amendment) Ordinance 1964.
2. The provisions of the Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal Enforce- Extension of ment) Ordinance 1960 shall extend to each of the parts of the Common- Ordinance. wealth as are specified in the Schedule hereto.

3. For the purposes of the Ordinance courts of each such part of Superior the Commonwealth having unlimited jurisdiction in civil and criminal courts. matters shall be deemed superior courts.
4. The Foreign Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) Order 1961 Cancellation, is cancelled in its application to each such part of the Commonwealth, (G.NA.
