TELEVISION (ADVERTISING) REGULATIONS, 1964.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Television Ordinance, 1964, the Governor in Copacil has made the following regulations

1. These regulations may be cited as the Television (Advertising) Citation. Regulations. 1964.

(2) For the purposes of this regulation, "subliminal advertising" menti. means the broadcasting of advertising material which is not broadcast for sufficient time to enable a person to obtain a conscious picture of the material.

4. (1) Where e programme is sponsored, a licensee shall remain Sponsored responsible for its content.

(2) A licensee shall not permit the sponsoring of any programme of news or religious matter.

(3) Save with the permission of the Television Authority, licensee shall not permit the sponsoring of any programme of educa- tional matter.

(4) A licensee shall ensure that any contract for the provision of a sponsored programme contains provisions by virtue of which he acquires the right to refuse to accept or else the right to edit any such programme which does not comply with the standards as laid down by the Governor in Council or the Television Authority.
