(Chapter 174).
Births and Deaths RegistRATION (AMENDMENT OF First SCHEDULE) REGULATIONS. 1961.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Births and Deaths citation. Registration (Amendment of First Schedule) Regulations, 1961.
2. The First Schedule to the Births and Deaths Registration Amendment Ordinance under the heading "BIRTH REGISTER OFFICES" is of First amended-
(a) in item (14)—
(i) by the addition after the words and comma "Pat Heong," of the following-
“Kam Tin.": and
(i) by the addition after the words and comma “Sai Kung.” of the following—
“Cheung Chau,”;
(6) in item 17 by the deletion of the word and brackets "(South)”
and the substitution therefor of the following-
**(Islands)"; and
(c) by the deletion of items 15 and 18.

Explanatory Note.
(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicure their general purport).
The effect of these regulations is-
(a) to change the place at which births may be registered in Kam Tin and Cheung Chau respectively from the existing offices to the Rural Com- millee Office în each place; and
(b) to amend the title of the District Sub-Office at Mai Wo consequential
upon the creation of the Islands District.
