URBAN COUNCIL ELECTIONS (REGISTRATION OF ELECTORS) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS, 1960.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23 of the Urban Council Ordinance, 1955, the Governor in Council has made the blowing regulations—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Urban Council Elections Citation. Registration of Electors) (Amendment) Regulations, 1960.
1 Regulation 3 of the Urban Council Elections (Registration of Amendment Ectors) Regulations, 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal 3. qpulutions) is amended–
of regula-
(O.N.A. 69/99).
(a) in paragraph (1)—
(i) by the deletion of the words....
"throughout the year"; and
(ü) by the deletion of the words "application to be placed on the register" and the substitution therefor of the following-
"application for inclusion in the provisional register"; and (b) by the addition after paragraph (2) of the following new
paragraph-
"(3) Applications for inclusion in the provisional register may be made to the registration officer between the 1st day of July and the 1st day of September in any year in which a provisional register is to be published in accordance with regulation 5.".
3. Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is amended-

and the substitution therefor of the following--
"on or before the 1st day of October in each alternate year thereafter":
