(see Note 1) in the Schedule to the Stamping and Denoting of Documents Regulations (Vol. IX, p. 401).
2. This licence is not transferable.

CONDITIONS.
1. The machine shall not, except for the purpose of bringing it to the Stamp Office or with the permission of the Collector of Stamp Revenue, be moved from the address hereinbafora specified at which it may be used.
2. The licensee shall mainteŝa the machine in good working order to the antisfaction of the Collector of Stamp Revenue and shall, not less than once in every two years and at such other times as the Collector of Stamp Revenue may require, have the machine inspected by the agents in the Colony of the manufacturers.
3. The licensee shall permit the Collector of Stamp Revenue or an officer of the Stamp Office authorized in writing by the Collector of Stamp Revenue to inspect the machine at such times as the Collector of Stamp Revenue thinks fit, and shall, for that purpose, allow the Collector of Stamp Revenue or the officer so authorized access to the place where the machine is kept
4. No words, letters, er mørks of any kind whatsoever, other than the stamp denoting the duty with which the instrument is chargeable and the date of stamping, shall be stamped on any instrument by means of the machine.

Explanatory Note,
(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).
These regulations provide for the licensing and control of the use of franking machines for stamping those instruments chargeable with stamp duty which may be stamped by means of a franking machine, and ancillary matters.
2. It is considered desirable that no licence shall be issued in respect of more than one franking machino, nor that a licence aball permit a franking machine to be used for stamping more than one of the classes of instrument which may bẹ stamped thereby. Regulation 3, therefore, inter alia, imposes these restrictions on the issue of licences,
