Dispound of 15. (1) The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking radioactive shall ensure that all waste materials are removed from workplaces in which radioactive substances are handled at frequent intervals and in any case at the end of each working day.

(2) The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking shall ensure that all waste radioactive substances and all waste materials which contain or may have been contaminated with radioactive substances are disposed of in such a way as to avoid any danger to the health of persons inside or outside the premises on which such undertaking is carried out.

16. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking shat ensure that all cleaning which is required to be done under these regulations is done by a wet method and that all implements used in such cleaning are properly washed after use and are kept in a cupboard used for no other purpose.

PART IV.

Precautions for Workers.

17. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking shalt ensure thut-

(a) every worker employed in such undertaking who is engaged in handling radioactive substances is supplied with and wears overalls of an approved pattern and that such overalls are washed at least once a week;

(b) every worker employed in such undertaking who is engaged in handling radioactive substances in the form of powder is in addition supplied with and wears rubber gloves and suitable headgear covering the hair and that such gloves are washed at least once a day and that such headgear is washed or renewed weekly.

18. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking in which any person is employed in the handling of luminous com- pounds shall provide a suitable screen of glass or other trans- parent material so arranged that it occupies a position between the face and hands of every such worker and effectively screens his face from the work.

19. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking shall provide washing facilities with soap, towels and nail brushes and an adequate supply of water for the use of all workers engaged in the handling of radioactive substances.

20. No person shall, in any industrial undertaking, introduce Prohibited into any workplace in which radioactive substances are handled articles. any article not essential to the industrial processes performed in that workplace and, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, no food, drink, utensil for the partaking of food or drink, materials or articles for smoking or for the application of cosmetic substances or cosmetic substances not already applied shall be so introduced.

21. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking Pipetting. shall ensure that no person employed in the handling of radio- active substances uses a mouth pipette for any purpose while so engaged.

PART V.

Supervision.

24. Such report may be made verbally or in writing, but if made verbally shall be followed by a report in writing made within twenty-four hours of the time of the occurrence.

(3) In the event of spillage of any radioactive substance in any affected industrial undertaking the proprietor of such under- taking shall immediately order the removal of all persons from the workplace affected. The proprietor shall then cause the area to be cleansed by a wet method under the supervision of such
