7. (1) The proprietor of any affected industrial under- taking shall arrange that all workers employed by him who are exposed or whose work is such that they are liable to be exposed to ionising radiations are examined by such medical officer as the Commissioner may appoint within seven days of starting work and thereafter at intervals of one month.
(2) The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking shall supply and every worker employed by him who is exposed or whose work is such that he is liable to be exposed to ionising radiation shall wear such film badges or other detection devices as may be prescribed by the Commissioner.
(3) The Commissioner may order the transfer from employ- ment involving exposure to ionising radiations to other employ ment within the undertaking of any worker employed in an affected industrial undertaking who appears to him to have received a dose of ionising radiations exceeding the maximum dose permitted under regulation 4 or whose health appears to him to be in any way endangered, and the proprietor of such under- taking shat! comply with such order.

PART III.
Workplaces and Equipment.
The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking shall ensure that-
(a) the floors and walls of all workplaces in which radioactive substances are used are constructed of smooth imper- vious material and are so designed as to permit of easy cleaning;
(b) all benches and tables on which radioactive substances are used have a hard impervious surface which can be readily cleaned;
(c) all workers exposed to or liable to be exposed to ionising radiations are provided with seats which are fitted with back rests, are of a substantial pattern and are capable of being readily cleaned.

10. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking Exhaust shall not permit any work involving the handling of radioactive ventila- substances in powder form to be carried out by any person except in a cabinet provided with exhaust ventilation of a type approved by the Commissioner.
11. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking Tool racks. shall provide for all tools not in actual use suitable racks on all work benches on which radioactive substances are handled and shall ensure that such racks and tools are cleaned daily.
12. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking Receptacles. shall provide for all luminous paints or other luminous compounds used or stored in such undertaking receptacles so designed as to protect personnel from ionising radiation and to avoid, as far as possible, the danger of breakage or spillage.
13. The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking Drying shall ensure that any stove used for the drying of luminous com- stoves. pounds or of articles to which such compounds have been applied is effectively ventilated to the external air.
14. (1) The proprietor of any affected industrial undertaking Storage. stances a suitable storage safe, which shall be fitted with walls of suitable material to prevent the escape of stray radiation and shall ensure that all radioactive substances which are not in use are stored in such safe and that only the minimum quantities required for immediate use are removed therefrom at any one time. shall provide and maintain for the storage of radioactive sub-
(2) Such proprietor shall ensure that such safe is provided with suitable ventilation openings to the external air and that such openings are kept unobstructed at all times.
(3) Such proprietor shall ensure that radioactive substances are removed from such safe only by a responsible person and in suitable protective containers.
(4) Such proprietor shall ensure that all articles containing radioactive substances which have been completed or which are not in the course of some manufacturing process are stored in such a way as to avoid any danger from radiation.
