PROCLAMATION
No. 4 of 1956.
COUNCIL CHAMBER,
11th July, 1956.
Clerk of Councils.
Explanatory Note,
(This Note is not part of the regulations; but is intended to indicate their general purport).
The object of these regulations is to make the provisions of certain regulations of the Factories and Industrial Undertakinga Regulations, 1955, relating to the prevention of accidents, the prevention of and escape from fire, and hygiene in registrable workplaces applicable to building and engineering construction sites, whether or not such sites are registrable. It may be desirable at a later stage to enact further regulations relating to building and engineering construction sites and a new Part IVA dealing exclusively with such sites is therefore introduced.
