18. Form 6 in the principal regulations is amended- (a) by the deletion from the third line of the heading of the

words "or watcher"; and

(b) by the deletion from the list of certificates of the third item "Air Radio Operator's Endorsement", and of the sixth item "Radiotelephony (Restricted)".

18. Forms 8, 9, 11 and 12 in the principal regulations are amended by the deletion from the Notes of the words "not less than five dollars", and the substitution therefor in each case of the following

"one dollar".

20. Form 9 in the principal regulations is amended by the of Form 9. insertion in the third line of paragrapli (d) after the word "minute"

ORDINANCE--The Licensze shall observe the provisions of the Telecommunication Ordinance (Cap. 106) and regulations made thereander,

NON-INTERFERENCE-Testing shall be done in such a manner

as to cause no interference with other stations.

毖 LOG—A running record shall be kept in a book of approved type (not loose-leaf) of all experiments with the sending apparatus, showing the date and time of each experiment and the frequency and system (ap. continuous wave or telephony) employed. No gaps shall be left between entries in the log book.

INSPECTION-The record of experiment and this licence shall be open to inspection at all reasonable times by duly authorized officers of the Post Office, who will produce their cards of identity on request. 5. The Licensee shall not be entitled to any compensation in respect of the exercise by the Postmaster Goneral in the withdrawal or modification of the licence.

6. The use of unauthorized power or the connexion of the sending apparatus with any serial other than an "artificial" aerial as defined bolow, or any other breach of the conditions or non-payment of fees will render it necessary for this licence to be cancelled. In event of cancellation no part of any fee paid in respect of the current year will be returned. 7. TRANSMITTING EQUIPMENT~{a} Radiation must not be perceptible outside the building in which the apparatus is installed, and no attempt shall be made to send signals to other stationa. It is intended that the effects produced by the sending apparatus shail be ascertained by means of suitable detecting or measuring devices coupled with or used within a few feat of an "artificiol" noriat.

(b) An "artificial" serial means a closed, non-earth, oscillatory circuit possessing inductance, capacity and resistance, and functioning in place of the usual aerial-earth system. It must be as nearly non-radiating a* possible. The inductance should be in one piece and of small dimensions (as distinct from an inductance of large dimensions, such as a frame Serial). The maximum area formed by the turns of the inductance shall not exceed 1 square foot; and any lateral dimension or, in the case of a circular or oval Inductance, and diameter, shall not exceed 1 linear foot.

3. POWER-The power used with the sending apparatus (measure at the anode of the valve delivering power to the aerial circuit) shall not exceed

NOTES:

(1) USE OF SUPPLY MAINS-If power for the working of the wireless station is taken from a public electricity supply, whether or not a battery eliminator is used, no direct connexion abould be made between the supply mains and the aerial. (ii) BROADCAST RECEPTION-This licence does not authorize the reception of broadcast programmes. For the reception of broadcast programmes & separate licence is necessary and can be obtained- price $20.00 per annum,
