Explanatory Note.
(This Nate is not part of the regulations, but is intended lo
indicate their general purport).
Each year the Governor in Council directs, under section 7 of the Ordinance, which parts of the Colony are to be valued for rating purposes. In order to signify more accurately those parts of the Colony to be rated, while keeping the order in the Gazette in simple form, these regulation: assign letters of the alphabet to various parts of the Colony, and where necondary describe and delineate such parts.

RATING (UNIVERSITY RESIDENCES) (EXEMPTION) Order, 1954-
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Rating Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following Order

This Order may be cited as the Rating (University Citation. Residences) (Exemption) Order, 1954, and shall be deemed to have been effective from the 5th October, 1953.
