FERRIES ORDINANCE, 1917.
(No. 28 of 1917, section 5.)
In exercise of the power conferred by section 5 of the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-
REGULATIONS
1. These regulations may be cited as the Excluded Ferries Citation. (To Kwa Wan and Cha Kwo Ling) Regulations, 1951.
2. The ferry named hereunder is excluded from the operation Ferry, of the Ordinance so long as-
excluded from opers.
Ordinance.
(a) no exclusive and conflicting licence is granted under the ting of
said Ordinance; and
(6) the number of vessels serving the ferry run is adequate to maintain a service and schedule approved by the Director of Marine; and
(c) all directions given by the Director of Marine as to ferry points or piers and the use and maintenance thereof are complied with; and
(d) only vessels licensed and approved for the purpose by
the Director of Marine are employed; and
(e) the fares and charges at any time taken and made are
approved by the Director of Marine; and
(the licensee makes his own arrangements with the Director of Public Works for the erection and use of small tem- porary piers:
Provided that notwithstanding the above prescribed condi- tions, the period of exclusion shall not exceed one year from the date of the coming into operation of these regulations, determinable nevertheless by the Director of Marine on one month's notice being given.
