REGULATIONS BY THE Governor in Council.

la exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, 1922, as amended by the Emergency Regulations (Amendment) Ordinance, 1949, and by the Emergency Regulations (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance, 1949, the Governor in Council hereby makes the following regulations-

REGULATIONS.

1. These regulations may be cited as the Emergency Citation (Principal) Amendment Regulations, 1950, and shall be read as one with the Emergency (Principal) Regulations, 1949, hereinafter GN. referred to as the principal regulations.

"0) For the purposes of this regulation-

"suspected apparatus or article" means an apparatus or article which the competent authority for reasons which may appear to him to be sufficient considers to be or to have been used as or to be intended to be used as, whether alone or in conjunction with any other apparatus or article, an apparatus for wireless transmission or for facilitating such transmission or to be readily adaptable for such use;

"competent authority" includes a person authorized in writing by the competent authority to deter- mine whether an apparatus or article is a suspected apparatus or article.
