THE EMERGENCY REGULATIONS ORDINANCE, 1922.
REGULATIONS BY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL,
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Emergency Regulations Ordinance, 1922, as amended by the Emergency Regulations (Amendment) Ordinance, 1949, and by the Emergency Regulations (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance, 1949, the Governor in Council hereby makes the following regulations:
REGULATIONS.
1. These regulations may be cited as the Emergency (Anti- Citation. Aircraft Gun Practice) Regulations, 1949.
1. In these regulations—
“aircraft" includes all balloons (whether fixed or free), kites, gliders, airships, aeroplanes, seaplanes, flying boats and wher flying machines;
"Commander" means the officer for the time being commanding the Royal Artillery, Hong Kong ;
"gun site" includes any gun site on land within the Colony or any gun sited upon any vessel operating within the Colony or its territorial waters;
"practice" means anti-aircraft firing by guns or rocket projectiles from gun sites;
"vessel" and "ship" have the meanings respectively sssigned to them in the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899.

3. It shall be lawful for the Commander, subject to the Authorized provisions of this Ordinance, to order practice over the whole or firing. any part of the Colony: Provided that when any person, vessel or aircraft is endangered by such practice all firing shall cease.
4. The Commander shall-
(a) send to the persons mentioned in the Schedule-
Practice pro- grammes and
(i) not less than seven days before the date on notices, etc. which a practice is to take place a provisional programme of Practice together with all necessary charts and maps as may be required by them;
