Provisions relating
to the
(ii) advance notice of actual practice two days hefore the date on which it is to take place ;
(b) cause advance notice of actual practice to be given for two consecutive days to the members of the public by notifica- tions in the English and Chinese languages in the local English and Chinese press respectively and by broadcasts in such languages;
(c) cause warnings to be given by such means as may practically be employed in land areas which are likely to be affected:
(d) arrange for the patrol of areas which are aftected in order to ensure that vessels, ships, aircraft and persons ar not exposed to unnecessary danger.
5.
While practice is taking place--
(a) no person shall bring, take or suffer to remain in any area affected by such practice any vessel, aircraft or thing. except as provided in regulation 10:
(b) no vessel shall be employed in fishing in such area; (c) no pleasure boat shall cruise in such area;
(d) no vessel shall anchor or remain anchored in or ground on the area;
(e) no aircraft shall alight on, remain in or travel in
such area.

In the event of any vessel or aircraft being from any cause within any area affected by practice, it shall be the duty of the master or pilot or other person in charge diereof to use his utmost endeavours to pass out of the area without loss of ume.
1. (1) No person shall trawl, dredge or search for or other- wise interfere with any practice bullet, shell or rocket projectile recovery of or portions thereof within any area affected by practice, or take. projectiles.
or retain, or be in possession of, any such practice bullet, shell or rocker projectile, or portions thereof, found within any such
arca.
(2) Any person who, when trawling, dredging, or in any manner whatsoever, shall come into possession of any such practice bullet, shell or rocket projectile or any portion thereof, within any area affected by practice, shall not retain it, but shall immediately return it in its existing condition, and without tampering with it, into the water.

(3) The provisions of this section shall not apply in cases of persons who recover any practice bullet, shell or rocket projectile or any portion thereof, under written instructions from the Commander.

(0) Any person doing anything prohibited by or other Penalties. wise contravening regulations 5, 6 and 7 hereof shall be deemed to commit an offence against these regulations.
(2) If any person commits an offence against these regulations he may be removed by any officer authorized by regulation 9 from any area affected by practice, and may be taken into custody without warrant, and on summary conviction shall be liable to a fine of two hundred and fifty dollars. Any vessel, aircraft or thing found in such area in contravention of these regulations may be removed by such officer as aforesaid and may be forfeited to the Government of Hong Kong on summary con- viction of the person responsible for such contravention.

9. The following officers are hereby authorized to remove Officers or take into custody without warrant any person contravening authorized egulations 3, 6 and 7 hereof, or to remove any vessel, aircraft or or remove thing found in any area affected by practice :-
trespassers, etc,
(a) the officer in charge of patrolling any such area; (b) the officer in charge of a gun site;
(c) any commissioned officer, warrant officer, or non- commissioned officer of His Majesty's Naval, Military or Air Forces ;
(d) any person authorized in writing under the hand of the officer in charge of a gun site;
(e) any police officer.
10.
These regulations shall not apply to...
(a) any vessel or aircraft compelled to enter or unable to quit an area affected by practice by reason of the exigencies of navigation;
(b) any vessel employed in tending, placing or replacing mark buoys or other aids to navigation within such
area;
(c) His Majesty's ships of war, His Majesty's aircraft, or any vessel or aircraft employed under Admiralty, War Office, or Air Council Authority or under the Government of Hong Kong.
