TRADING WITH THE ENEMY ORDINANCE, 1914.
Order by the Governor
(under section 24 of the Ordinance).
Tu exercise of the powers conferred by section 2A of the Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, 1914, (hereinafter referred to as "the Ordinance") His Excellency the Governor makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Trading with the Enemy cication. (Authorisation) (Japan) (No. 2) Order, 1949.
2. Notwithstanding anything contained in section 4 of the Licence to Ordinance, any person, unless the Governor otherwise directs, may rade with trade in respect of any patent, utility model, design or trade mark Japan, within Japan, with any Government, Public or other Authority or with any individual or body of persons (whether corporate or unincorporate) resident or carrying on business therein.
3. Nothing in this Urder shall be taken to authorise the Limitation transmission to any person of any money, negotiable instrument of licence. or security for money arising out of any transaction entered into before the date of this Order.

For the purposes of this Order "trade" shall include~~ (a) application for the grant of any patent or for registration of any utility model, design or trade mark;
(b) selling, assigning and granting a licence in respect of or otherwise dealing with any such patent, utility model, design or trade mark;
(c) the taking of such steps as may be expedient to protect or enforce any such patent, utility model, design or trade mark or any rights or interests arising thereunder;
(d) except as provided in paragraph 2 hereof the paying, transraitting or receiving of any money, negotiable instrument or security for money arising out of or payable in respect of any such patent, utility model, design or trade mark or of any such transactions as are hereinbefore authorised;
(e) the entering into and completion of transactions incidental to any of the transactions hereiúbefore authorised.

5. For the purposes of this Order "Japan" means all **Japao" territory which was under Japanese sovereignty on 7th December, defined, 1941.
