An Ordinance to repeal the Piers Ordinance, 1899.
[13th May, 1948.]
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice
and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Piers (Repeal) Short dde. Ordinance, 1948.
2. The Piers Ordinance, 1899 is hereby repealed,

3. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 12 of the Saving, Interpretation Ordinance, 1911, with regard to the effect of repeala, ordinanes the rights, privileges, obligations, or liabilities acquired, accrued, No. 31 of or incurred by lessees or licensees under the Ordinance repealed 1917. by Section 2 of this Ordinance by virtus of leases or licences granted to them by the Crown before the commencement of this Ordinance shall continue in full force and effect until the thirty- first day of December, 1949, and shall thereafter cease and determine.
