PROCLAMATION.

The Officer Administering the Government.
WHEREAS by an Order of His Majesty in Council bearing date the 20th July, 1937, a copy of which is con- tained in the Appendix to this Proclamation, it is provided, inter alia, that the Governor of Hong Kong shall cause the said Order to be proclaimed in the Colony under his Government: NOW THEREFORE I, NORMAN LOCKHART SMITH, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Officer Administering the Govern ment of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies, do hereby PROCLAIM the said Order in this Colony.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony at Victoria, Hong Kong, this 16th day of October, 1937.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council bearing date the 2nd January, 1918* (hereafter in this Order referred to as "the Principal Order") it was ordered that Part II of the Fugitive Offenders Act, 1881, should apply to the group of British Possessions and Protected States therein mentioned, that is to say, British India, Ceylou, Hong Kong, the Straits Settlements, the Federated Malay States, Johore, Kedah and Perlis, Kelantan, Trengganu, Brunei, North Borneo, and Sarawak :
