PROCLAMATION.

By Elis Excellency Sir REGINALD EDWARD STUBAS, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in- Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice Admiral of the same:
Whereas by section (1) of the Military Stores (Exportation) Ordinance, 1862, it is enacted that it should be lawful for the Governor with the advice of the Executive Council, by proclamation, to prohibit, for such period as might be therein mentioned. either to be exported from the Colony or to be carried coastwise within the Colony, arms, ammunition, and gunpowder, military and naval stores, and any articles which the Governor might judge capable of being converted into or made useful in increasing the quantity of military or naval stores;
And whereas it is expedient to prohibit such exportation and carriage coastwise :
Now therefore, I, Sir REGINALD EDWARD Stoppa, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in- Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same. with the advice of the Executive Council of this Colony do, by this Proclamation, pro- hibit for a period of one year from and including the 15th day of October, 1925, either to be exported from the Colony or to be carried coastwise within the Colony, arus, ammoni- tion and gunpowder, and military and naval stores, unless this Proclamation shall, in the meantime, be revoked or unless permission shall have been obtained under section 4 of the Ordinance above-mentioned,”
