PROCLAMATION,

Governor.
By His Excellency Sir Henry Arthur BLAKE, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michel am Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong- kong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admical of the same.
Whereas by Section 47 of Onlinance No. 36 of 1899, entitled "The Merchant Shipping Consoli- dation Ordinace, 1899," it is enacted as follows :-
This Ordinance shall not come into operation mless and antil the fovernor notifies by Proclamation, that it is Her Majesty's pleasure not to didlow the same and thereafter It shall come into operation upon such day as the Governor slail notify by the same or any other Proclamation,"

And Wherous by Buation 27 of The Interpretation Ordinance, 1897 it is provided that refer- ces to the Sovereign reigning at the time of the passing of the Ordinance shall be construed as references to the Sovereign for the time being :
Now, Therefore, I, the suid Sir Harry Akruer Blark, do by virtue of the authority in m vested, hereby under my head and the Public Sed of the Colony, proclaim that it is His Majesty's pleasure, signified by His Majesty's Order in Council cited the tenth day of August, 1913, to condirin, Inter alia, the said Ordinance, and I do further proclaim that the Ordialice shall come into operation on and from the Nineteenth day of September, 1908.
