Governor.
By His Excellency Sir Hasny Artocr Blake, Knight Groul Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Bong- kong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiml of the same.
Whereas, by Regulation No. 1 of the Quarantine Regulations made by the Governor in Concil on the 17th day of June, 1961, under section 25 of Ordinance No. 26 of 1891, it is provideal that the torin **
port or place at which any infectious or contagious disease prevailed" means a port or place proclaimed to be such by Order of the Governor în Council, published in the Gazette, from the date of such Proclamation;
And whereas the mid Quarantine Regulations were duly notified to wiku effect as from the 20th day of June, 1901 :
And whereas Hig Excellency the Governor in Conucil has ordered that Shanghai should be pare claimed as a port or place at which an infections or contagious disease prevails ;
Now, therefore, I, Sir Herby Artuur Baks, Knight Grund Cross of the Most Distinguishaf Order of Saint Michael and Mint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Houg- kong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiml of the same, do hereby, with the advice of the Exeen- tive Council, prodnim that Shanghai is a port or place at which an infectious or contagious disense prevails.
