PROCLAMATION,

Officer Administering the finvernment.
By His Excellency Major-General GEORGE DIGET BARKER, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Officer Administering the Government, and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas by section 16 of Ordinance 22 of 1891, entitled The Raw Opium Amendment Ordinance, 1891, it is enacted as follows :-
"This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be proclaimed by the Governor."
Now, therefore, I, the said Major-General GronGE DIGBY BARKER, in pursuance of the said section and by virtue of the authority in me vested, do hereby under my hand proclaim that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on the 28th day of December, 1891.
