PROCLAMATION,
Banker
Officer Administering the Government.
By His Excellency Major-General GEORGE DIGBY BARKER, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Officer Administering the Government, and Cominander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas by section 53 of Ordinance 21 of 1891, entitled The Prepared Opium thrdinance, 1891, it is enacted as follows :-
"This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be proclained by the Governor."
Now, therefore, I, the said Major-General GEORGE DIGBY BARKER, in pursuance of the said section and by virtue of the authority in me vested, do hereby under my hand proclaim that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on the 28th day of December, 1891.
