water boat station and 4.47 million gallons supplied through the 2" cross harbour main to Aplichau. The average consumption for the year was 102,000 gallons per day. Details are given in Table VIII.

There were eleven public stand pipes and eleven fire hydrants in use at the end of the year.

(c) Repulse Bay - The supply was subjected to restrictions similar to those in force in the City of Victoria, a constant supply being maintained for 152 days during the year.

The total quantity of water supplied during the year was 15.43 million gallons equivalent to an average consumption of 42,000 gallons per day. Details are given in Table VIII.

There were ten fire hydrants in use at the end of the year.

This area is now supplied entirely with filtered water from Jardine's Lookout Service Reservoir, which is fed by pumping from the Eastern Filter Beds.

The distribution system was extended to supply the new bathing beaches.

(d) Stanley: The supply was subjected to restrictions similar to those in force in the City of Victoria, a constant supply being maintained for 152 days during the year.

The total quantity of unfiltered water supplied during the year amounted to 21.46 million gallons equivalent to an average consumption of 59,000 gallons per day. Details are given in Table VIII.

There were nine fire hydrants and seven stand pipes in use at the end of the year.

The scheme to supply filtered water to this district mentioned in paragraph 56 (d) of the 1935 Report, was practically completed at the end of the year, and is described in paragraph 14 of this Report. Unfiltered water has been available under the new scheme since July, and it is hoped that filtered water will be available early in 1937.

(e) Deep Water Bay R.B.L. 245 - A constant supply was maintained throughout the year. The total quantity of unfiltered water supplied was 2.27 million gallons, equivalent to an average daily consumption of 6,200 gallons. Details are given in Table VIII.
