Revenue. 9. The revenue derived from the registration of trade marks amounted to $19,288.00 as against $17,527.00 in the previous year. This increase is accounted for by the fact that renewal of registration of a number of marks of which the registration period (14 years) expired during the year under review, was applied for. On the other hand there was a decrease in the number of applications for registration, and in the number of certificates granted.
Opposed Registration. 10. Three applications for registration were opposed during the year. In one case the application for registration was withdrawn, in another, the opposition was withdrawn, and in the third the application was treated as abandoned.
