(c) Taipo.-The total quantity of water supplied during the year was 24.70 million gallons compared with 22.07 last year, and equivalent to an average consumption of 68,000 gallons per day.

There were eleven public stand pipes and twenty-one fire hydrants in use at the close of the year.

101. Water Meters.-There were eighty-nine meters in use at the close of the year as follows:-
Taipo 65 (65 in 1933)
Fanling 23 (24 in 1933)
Tsun Wan 1 (1 in 1933)
Twenty-six meters were examined and repaired during the year.

Maintenance of Praya Walls and Piers:-Major repairs were carried out to the Cheung Chau and Tsun Wan Piers, otherwise only minor works were involved in this maintenance.
