100. The disbursements against the estimate of Working Expenses amounted to $778,617.68 (including Running Expenses of Government Motor Cars and Lorries). The portion of Special Expenditure chargeable to Revenue was $24,879.82. Further items amounting to $52,894.74 were included in respect of services rendered and materials supplied by other Government Departments, also payments made by the Railway not provided for in the Railway Estimates but charged to Government votes.

101. The vote for running expenses including the wages of Drivers of Government Motor Cars and Lorries at Kowloon attached to the Railway, was included in the Railway Estimates merely as a convenience, but the cost was not included in the final Operating Expenses.
